Did you even listen to this video?! What sin has to do with the bridge collapsing was all he talked about for 6 mins. Is it even possible not to get this simple point? To agree with it is another thing all together.

Read Romans 8: 18-39. The Bible tells us that sin pervades all of the natural world. It causes decay and death even in those who did not directly commit the sin.
Piper explains this clearly. Listen from 3:30 to the end. These horrible occurrences, Piper says, are God's "portraits" of what sin is like in the spiritual realm.
