  • this rider is not competent enough to be starting a baby like this. Her hands are too harsh and his trot is too slow for this stage of his training and he is very uncomfortable. People need to bring some humility to the task of starting a dressage horse....the early years are important and not a time to be learning on the horse yourself.

  • Ha Ha Ha.... thats a man riding that horse!! Maybe you should watch the video again more closely. This was... maybe the second or third time this horse was ridden with a bit in his mouth, they were only working on getting the horse to communicate... the slow trot was the horses choice. He prefers to do everything slowly.

  • is to not interrupt him in his mouth, but to ride him forward. He already has to keep his had down, but it is riding from the front to the back what it's done, that's the wrong way around. you won't be able to reach your goals with that horse in this way, first there is going forward and from that all the other things are developed...!!

  • i agree to artsyhorse, letting a horse choose their own speed is not what it is about, if they just get used to walking like that it will be hard to get it off. you said it was not more than the third time the horse had a bit in his mouth, well than the thing you should do

  • well the sex of the rider is not important..but the bad riding is. Letting horses do what they want is not what "training" is about.

  • Very sweet and pretty horse. Reminds me of my Friesian X.

  • We miss you too! EmailJamie
