I Gotta Lotta Old Friends

You must listen clear thru to get TO the punchline, folks:-) I hum it thru the first time, to keep y'all in suspense and yes, there are mistakes,..by golly, will there ever come a day when I don't make them? I can only hope;-)
The idea for this song birthed out of a spoken and unintentional oneliner; a phrase in passing that might be taken the wrong way--result was humor, of course!--in conversation with my music teacher-on the subject of collecting things and how really, there is not anything I need cause I truly have MORE than I need!
I gotta lotta old friends.........
PS--I never have seen the Rio Grand, but I WAS a cowgirl, back in the 60s--n'yes the sweater was knit by my grandma:-) and finally, yes, most things I have and own are actually acquired second hand--including the National, and that suits me fine.

Hi--Thanks very much--someone else made that comparison--i will have to have a listen for myself, and see, i don't know that I have ever heard RLJ,honestly:-) I love a good mistake, if taken in stride--it is an artform ploughing thru them!!--these vids are accomplished in one or sometimes two takes...had I desired perfection, you'd never have seen my likes here--that you tune in an enjoy, and drop a line, tickles me--i do thankyou...cheers and have a suepr day:-)

Thanks Kindly Chris:-) I sadly had to part with other instruments, which were old--but this national (made in 2000, but found second hand on ebay;-)) will be with me always, as my starter guitar, a keeper--especially now tis modified with my Guitar Hero's autograph....thanks for listening!

This is a Great song for me to relate to as I've been a second-hand man most my life. Having 5 brothers and a mother who frequented second hand stores honed what I call my Junkin' skills to perfection.
