Maria Callas or Victoria de los Angeles? I know this is unfair to the many great sopranos past and present, but to me and many opera lovers, THIS IS the best rendtion of "O mio Babbino caro"

perfect

Her voice is like a breath of fresh air.

I want to know where there's a better rendition than this.

The most heartfelt, sincere and touching version I ever heard. Such integrity to the text and words. Just beautiful!

A truly gifted soprano.

This version is the best to my ears. She doesn't blatantly use the aria to highlight her vocal prowess in an innappropriate way, like most of them do. She sounds like a young girl talking to her father and displays vocal restraint in all the right places. The technique is superb. This rendition is a little jewel.
I admit I'm highly biased; she is, after all, my favourite soprano. She opened the world of opera to me when I was very young, and I'm forever grateful. Many sopranos, if not all, have sung this aria. De los Angeles takes first prize in interpretation, purity of tone, and vocal splendor. As mentioned, simply exquisite.
