@24308548 They're made of a bronze alloy. If you want to hear the sound of steel bells, search 'Moseley bellringing'. They're absolutely horrendous!
-
@KDowner94 They were cast together as a 12, so they would have been tuned to match each other as well.

Why the hell is this relevant? Go away.

?? Can you answer these questions ??
?(In Truth)?
Ac:10:48: And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
WHAT’S THE NAME??________________
Ac:22:16: And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

The front 2 bells are a bit out of tune arent they! They sound better as a ten I think

Surprise minor, some surprise major, but my main interest is obscure doubles methods!

ofcourse it would sound like the sound is out of sync with the bells because when you pull the rope the sound dosen't create until the bell has swang around and the clapper stikes on the appropriate side
(That was abit longwinded)

Having been a ringer for 10 years, I know when the bell should sound with relation to where the rope is - the sound in relation to what you see is most certainly not right.

Are those steel bells? Didn't realize u had a ring of 12 in NYC, hopefully bellringing is on the up in the US, a good export rom the UK. I've been ringing since I was 12, a 'few 'years now!

No, they're ordinary bell metal, cast by Taylor's. I'm British and live in the UK, but my Mum lives in NYC so I go to Trinity when I'm visiting her. Interestingly, the chap who funded the new bells at Trinity went to the same school as me (albeit several years previously) in Hinckley, near Leicester.
