At The Owner Builder, we build 'Owners'. If you want to do the job yourself, but need a little encouragement, join in on the fun and do it yourself. You can always hire a professional if you begin to appreciate their skill level. Here we have a small enough job to do with hand tools. And since it's a shed, no biggie. Come back and join us when we get the spatter gun and shoot and 'knock down' the finish. You always have a trusted networking friend at www.talkradiobuilder.com

  • For all you "haters", who have uploaded NOTHING to show your professionalism, like the guy '95 greenhorn', try reading my monologue first. For all the rest of you, there is a sanding process that occurs prior to texture. So who gives a shit what it looks like in the rough. You can always hang and tape the rock with a little help from a pro, and have him texture the project, ( If you can handle the roasting) If you are a REAL PRO and have videos to share, I'll be glad to leave your comment up.

  • The center of the seam should be done first. At this point in video, the outside edges are last. Always drag the whole length of the seam slowly as needed, don't stop in between on final drag.

  • This is an individual that inspires, motivates and educate all in the same breath. This is one of the rare breeds that comes along in a rare blue moon.

All of you that has the desire to want to learn ANY aspect of the trade, I encourage you to seek someone that reflects the positive energy with productivity all in the same motion.

These are the building blocks of success in the world of construction in which, male egos are a dime a dozen...but a Old School Pro is a rare bird indeed.

  • This is exactly the same way I do it but sometimes I use a hawk and trowel because it slows me down to place the blade into the trough and get just the right amount of mud. But this takes more practice and skill, the skill will come with more practice to be good and quick at it.

  • i like this guy...he really seems like a guy who would not have a problem trying to help you..

  • Maybe the professional haters have better things to do then video themselves taping and filling houses????

  • Good job on explaining the process of finishing off the mudding to prepare for the texturing. As you can see ken shows the importance of laying down the mud with his last pass over it, to save you from extra sanding and less clean up. If you really pay attention to how he holds the broad knife as parallel to the drywall as you can to get a smooth finish this is the difference between a o.k. job and a great job.

  • fuck off haters that man is giving us the general idea on how to joint taping and stuff. he actually helped me a lot thank you!!

  • wow, way to explain nothing..
