50 years ago, the colonial masters were the British.

Today, the rakyat have been colonialised by the UMNO / Barisan Nasional ruling elite.

What's the difference? None really.

Both practice divide and rule.
Both play race based politics.
Both claim that they are there to serve the people.
Both use their power to extract wealth for their own good.
Both threaten the rakyat that there will be no development and chaos will rule once they are gone.
Both use the media very effectively as a propaganda machine.
Both used the Police to help them extend their rule.
Both treated the Sultanate and royalty as puppets.
Both have overstayed their welcome.

the way to erase the racism in our country or anywhere, is to just remove any negative thoughts, perceptions, beliefs on the other race. Come on, we're Malaysian first and our respective race after. I might be Malay but I am Malaysian and so are all the other ethnicities that call themselves Malaysian. I can understand how the non-Malays feel but let's all stop being suspicious of each other :) I realize the one thing we can all agree on is that Malaysian food is the best ;)

I hereby stand neutral to all. I don't wanna side anyone but just make the facts true. Chinese in Malaysia has a mindset of protecting their own interests. However, not all of them are like that. Every race has their own mindset of protecting their own interests. the truth is, it's not like that... There are Indian soldiers and policemen in the force. But for the Chinese, majority are not willing to trade something for their nation. However, the Chinese are the major economic power in Malaysia. Without the Chinese, Malaysia wouldn't have developed that well.
