@aranhar "Doesnt matter if MacOS has abit better optimization" That's the thing though. OS X is FAR more optimised than Windows, especially considering it runs on specific hardware. Ever heard of reliable sleep and wake? That's h/w and s/w working synonymously.
"doesnt do anything hardware wise faster." Not necesarilly. Apple's hardware isn't going to be the cheapest, but I think you'll find it's quite competitive. EXCEPT RAM. DON'T EVER BUY RAM FROM APPLE.

@Nutz320 So wait a mac is basicly a overpriced as hell pc that actually doesnt do anything hardware wise faster. MacOS on the other hand is a better optimized OS than windows BUT it doesnt support even near as much. Pricewise a Mac will never ever be faster than a PC. Thats the thing. Doesnt matter if MacOS has abit better optimization when the hardware difrence is so huge.

Of course they don't design the panels, they decide what panels to use, they design the ergonomics, aesthetics, decide what ports to use, what hardware to put in there, etc. Then they put them together, whether by Apple or other companies. Point is, Apple makes the decisions and then they get Foxconn or whoever to manufacture it. Or they may source the panels from other companies if the panel THEY WANT exists already.
-
@Nutz320 Are you retarded? I highly doubt Apple had even one word in the design of the panel. They may have designed the pretty exterior of the monitor, but the panel would have been sourced from another company.
-
@baggedandblown Apple doesn't manufacture it, but they do design it. Are you dumb? Every Apple product I've opened says, "Designed by Apple in California"
Designers are given the same respect and admiration and special treatment as engineers at Apple, because they realise the importance of designers. Something no other company does, it seems.

@aranhar That's why today no one buys nor support Microsoft :( Only a fool would buy a generic useless unreliable PC. Back at ya :)

@eha1990 I don' t rip DVDs, but Handbrake seems really popular.
-
@detibry That's obvious when it's true, but sometimes, we just want to defend the platform we love from all the lies out there.

@icoopers I'm an Apple fanboy and while I agree that Apple's products are OBVIOUSLY superior, someone who questions anything is the exact opposite of a fool.
lol You simply adjusted the contrast on the Dell, you can not fool me. I have many years doing graphic design both with pictures and videos so it is a simple fix. :)

What kind of Dell is it?
Did you calibrate it?
My best guess is that you bought a Dell with TN-panel and you compare it with your Apple Display that uses IPS-panel.
If that is the case, you just stepped into a big bowl of salad.
IPS is better for image-editing, because it is more true to color.
TN is cheaper, not as good colourwise, and is not comparable with IPS.
If you take your Apple display and compare it to Dell U2410 (which uses IPS) you would see less difference, if any at all.
