The tea party movement is at its core racist. It is mimicing what the southern states did at the begining of the war, held tea parties. They are almost universally old and white, these are the same people who stood in front of the schools and tried to keep the african american students from entering. American Exceptionalism means we are better than other countries so we should rule them. What's the differnce between that and claiming to be a master race. Beyond being dangerous they are ignorant

@rwoodward61 If they'd told us that Bigfoot, they would have accomplished the same thing. Notice they didn't say "god" gave us our rights? These were men that thought out EVERY word. They knew what they were doing.

Most new what would happen if the church got involved in politics. That's why they tried to keep church and state separate.

@rwoodward61  You confuse my point. It's OK, very few peope know that our Govt. signed a treaty in which we claimed that "the U.S. are in no way a christian nation" That treaty was ratified by congress, making it law. Even if we wanted to make this a christian nation, we'd have to amend the constitution, TWICE. The founders took our right out of mans hands, that's all.
