Been 30 years old, the French-Canadian photographer and author Bertrand Lemeunier crossed Canada alone by bike from May 2007 to January 2008 to raise funds for the Children's Wish Foundation. He managed to raise 30 000 $ for them.

During his trip, he took thousands photos in the 10 Canadian provinces and in the Northern Canadian Territories (Yukon, NWT and Nunavut).

Then, with Éric Clément, reporter at La Presse, he produced this book, O Canada, 10,000 miles from Coast to Coast, which is their second collaboration after Français de Montréal, a coffee table book published in 2005, at Les Éditions La Presse.

A 250 pages bilingual book, O Canada, 10,000 miles from Coast to Coast shows the beauty of Canada, its most amazing and unique landscapes from one ocean to the other and introduces the reader to 30 Canadians, all of different origins and professions, whom Bertrand Lemeunier met throughout his trip and which Éric Clément interviewed from Montreal by phone.

From the Newfoundlander saviour of oil-stricken birds, Stan Tobin, to the first female Nunavut Prime minister, Eva Aariak, including Constable Egan Henderson, recruit instructor for the RCMP in Regina, Kelly Saxberg and Ron Harpelle, international film directors from Thunder Bay, worldwide famous sculptor Joe Fafard from Saskatchewan, Gilles Martin, biologic farmer in New Brunswick, or Catherine Hennessey, Miss Heritage of Charlottetown, all express their deep attachment to their roots and their love for Canada.

As we both do in this book...
