  • @maudify At 2 years old this is still DEVELOPING, not DELAYED. Your best bet is to promote (by getting his eye contact, modeling and encouraging imitation of you) his use of single syllable words that end in /p/, /b/, /t/ and /d/. Google 'speech therapy final /t/ words' and you'll get a start on finding resources!

  • My son has no issues with starting a word with P, B, M ... his problem is that he refuses to complete a word. For example, he says "muh" instead of milk. Any advice or techniques that I can do at home to help with this? Thank you so much! Please please please reply!

  • @maudify Hello! Can you give me some more information? How old is your son?

  • @The4Zees- Where are you located? If you have concerns about your child you may be able to access services through county or state programs that supply services for 'free' (quotes b/c we all pay taxes!). Look into Birth To Three programs at your county level. Also, if you are still so concerned when he turns 3, then you can have him evaluated through the public school system.

More videos will come eventually; I have scripts written for several more. Filming, editing and time become factors.

  • This believe it or not just might help my 33 year old daughter..When she speaks she does not correctly move her mouth.. Thank you. NO I wouldn't give her a jelly bean.. but, I like how you did this..

  • @granyk carrot sticks, hugs, tickles work just as well as jelly beans! Have fun!!!... and don't get too worried about a 3 year old's articulation- it's only 'clinical' if NO ONE can understand her at her age. Most three year olds DON'T correctly move their mouth for many, many sounds! If you and most of the humans in close proximity to her life can understand her, she's right on track with her speech! Thanks for the visit!

  • awesome, i learned a lot thank you for taking the time.

  • This is really great! Thank you. I am going to use this method in other aspects of my life. I loved when you said to for give yourself for messing up. That was an AHA moment for me. My son is almost three with some speech delays and I think this will be great for him.

  • Wish you would continue making videos...

  • @comedycityonline He just turned 2 on November 26th.

  • You did a great job on tesching speech. Please make more videos. My friend Mom tried these on his son who has autism. He learned to make those sounds

     :D

  • Wow. I'm applying to a speech pathology program right now, but I'm a little nervous about working with kids, mainly that attention span will get in the way of speech practice/learning. Thanks for such an impressive demonstration of how a child can cooperate towards a speech goal.

  • i guess i can do this my own to my baby sis.
