A Higher Place is amazing. The drums got even better (even though that seems impossible), guitar got better, and vocals got way better in every way. Not hardly any standout keyboard riffs though unfortunately. Most people complain about it, but musically, it beats the shit out of TNR. I used to listen A7X and Atreyu a few years ago, which is why I like AHP so much. It manages to be melodic in a way that isnt gay sounding like A7X and Atreyu, and they got even more brutal and technical.

OMFG WHITECHAPELS HERE AHHHHHHHH

@gonutzgocrazy Because BOO is deathcore right... yeah totally not complete tech death or anything. I wasn't hating, I was stating the fact that their old stuff was sooooo good, its like comparing veil of maya's second album to their third. Every person has a preference but sometimes when your starting out you have 235897348534853683456 ideas about songs and pick the best ones that fit your style. I'm just saying that musically I think their first album shits on most tech death in general.

@FuzzyWuzzy1122 EVERY song on AHP is better than ANY song on TNR... well Empires Erased may be slighly better than say An Ascent but barely. Why hate this album cause it was to original? Like BOO have said themselves AHP was for well received only by people with an open mind that wanted something different, dont worry they plan to give you your "deathcore" or whatever genre you kids like thinking your cool by classifying bands in in their third album.

@Xenochristt than listen to a different band.
-
1.) so by that definition, if I played 6 different songs on top of each other of 6 different genres, it'd be the most original and deepest thing ever. I don't care if they had a rap break, it's the fact that it was executed horribly.
2.)I understand progressing but you can go one of two ways while progressing, good or bad. they go bad. fucking deal with it.
p.s. my moniker was xenochrist way before the faceless was even a band, they're not that great either. suck my cock faggot

the melodic shit is awesome they have talent ...so they use it

This post further illustrates your stupidity.
1. Yes a "rap break" actually shows ALOT of depth by definition. It's quite original.
2. It's called progressive, this is why the song progresses rather than stays the same the entire time which it sounds like you would prefer.
Here's the worse part....your name is xenochrist....a song by the faceless which is a band signed to sumerian records.....................th
e one you bashed. -
@PtH888999 I've said a fucking million times I don't give a fuck about breakdowns you stupid faggot. and putting a random clean break(or a rap break...LOOLLLLLLLLLLL) doesn't count as depth, just sayin'. this band must have the memory of a goldfish collectively, because they start going somewhere with a thought, then completely destroy what they've built up with that garbage.
they're just as original as everything else on sumerian, or the entire shitty genre in that case.
-
@Almost5768 that's funny because born of osiris is deathcore. nice try though.
-
Yeah they need to stay away from being diverse and original and just play brootal breakdowns all day.
God forbid a band has any depth right?
You're stupid.
This comment has received too many negative votes show
they need to quit all that faggy melody shit and stay heavy. that shit doesn't even flow in the song
Xenochristt 2 years ago
