  • Don't know where this guy is getting his history from, but I can tell you that this is blatantly biased. They were not "eyewitness accounts," they were handed down orally from generation to generation...AND they were not written until AFTER the disciples died.

Hi Andrew: Thank you for your comment. Like all films, this one certainly has a point of view, but there is historical evidence for it. The early church fathers credit the gospels as belonging to the disciples. Ancient NT papyrus manuscripts provide evidence of their antiquity (as do other ancient non-biblical documents). And John's gospel claims to have been written by an eyewitness. So I would ask what evidence do you have that they were written after the disciples had died?

  • No I dont think he's trying to confuse us. I think it has more to do with free will. People can preach what they want and its up to us to decide to listen and follow or not to believe. I personally believe God wanted those gnostic wrirings found and put out there for all to read. I also believe that some of the new testament does not do Jesus's teachings justice. God wanted the truth to be known for all and it is out there. Now its up to us to find our path back to the spiritual beings we were

  • @AmyDallis John was the latest of the four canonical, written about 90. It was originally anonomous and tradition later attached the name of John to it. It is interesting to note that only in John does Jesus call himself God. I mean did Matthew, Mark and Luke just forget to include this detail?

  • @turtle4aire "St" Irenaeus wrote about the Gospel of Judas in 180 AD, which means it had to have been written before that time, to give it time to gain popularity. The Gospel of John was written around the same time. So your argument holds no water.

  • The Gospel of Judas does not proclaim "a plethora of gods instead of one true God", it proclaims one God with many aspects, similar to Jewish Kabbalah. None of the Aeons (the so-called "plethora of Gods") is considered separate from the Great Invisible Spirit (God), they are seen as poetic ways to talk about an otherwise unknowable being.

  • So BIASED

  • @andrewdb01 Funny that Saulus "St Paul" never even knew Jesus and seems to have known next to nothing about him. He did not know anything of the so called Christian Gospels, this is because these Greek fakes were not created until the second century, along with a huge raft of Christian fakes and forgeries, such as the Gospel of Mary, the Gospel of Thomas, Hebrews and so on.

  • Christians are stupid. I know, I was one! Now I understand that evil permeates the earth through religion. For example did you know the original text read "A Son of God" but in the marginal notes it said "THE Son of God". (we she this shit in the Koran!). Don't trust the church they are all controlled by the Vatican and are evil.

And I suppose guilt is a virtue? Native Americans were doing fine until the Conquistadors came and pulled the mother's babies from their breasts and smashed their heads against rocks. Or gathered them up by the dozens and burned them alive. But at least their was a priest nearby to absolve them of their sins...

    ie. my mother :)

Let me get this straight: you are basing "evidence" of authenticity on "early church fathers" and what is written in the "Bible"? You would be foolish to trust the church. I doubt everything coming from the church as should everyone on this troubled planet. Irenaeus chose 4 out of 30 gospels to put into the Bible. What gives him the authority? Further more the crucifixion of saviors permeates the ancient world all the way back to Egypt. I'd like to find some real evidence of Jesus.

  • @AmyDallis the Gnostic Church wrote the Book of Judas and put in it as they thought it should be ! they put that Mary had to tell the 12 Desciples what to do all during their time. WOW !! A women telling the 12 Desciples what today ! I guess that was the reason the Catholics took Mary as head of their church to be worshipped ! She told Peter and John what to do ! The Gnostics also put in their writtings that you had to have Works in the church or go to hell ! Someone else says that same thing !
