You may like to watch the cheetah girls on Disney, but these cheetah girls aren't animated, they are real cheetahs. The cheetah is the most petite of the big cats. The cheetah girls on television can sing and the cheetahs in Africa don't sing in real life but they do in the video. Cheetahs may not sing, but in common with a bird, more specifically a black bird, they do chirp to call out to each other in the wild (or captivity). A baby cheetah is called a cub. Cheetah cubs are very cute and can be heard chirping for their mothers in the wild. The cheetah habitat is naturally in Africa but there have been some in Asia too; they are thought to be related to the saber toothed tiger. The cheetah speed is what makes this cat so famous and fun to watch especially at top speeds of up to 70 mph. Despite its speed, the endangered cheetah isn't faster than a speeding bullet from poachers or farmers who are protecting their game, often in Namibia.
