The only exception to this rule is for games that give you no advantage by using outside communication or games that do not have an in-game voice option.

That is the rule about chat. I would say party chat is cheating if only one team was using it because the other team won't have that same advantage. It would be a good idea

@MrOriginalChris i can see where your coming from. honestly, i think gb should completely take out that rule about communications. there is absolutely no way that you can prove someone being in private chat, party chat, or on aim/skype. in my opinion, party chat should be encouraged on gamebattles and should just become a normal thing.

It would also reduce some disputed where the other team claim you are in party chat just because they need an excuse to dispute. Snuggie, you should raise this suggestion on the new feedback thing and then give us all the link and we will vote on it and then it might become a rule.

I actually had a dispute on them being in party chat because they were ignorant to the rule. They thought it was just a myth. So i got the proof of them in party chat, they sent me messages, i sent them messages, they even said it themselves. And they wouldn't show to the third map so we got the win. I think party chat is cheap, mainly because i play search and I think that extra help is not fair especially since search is a gamechat only gametype.

One time me and my team was playing a gb 4v4 search match and the other team was in party chat. We told an admin on gb he joined our party and told us that party chat is against the rules

It doesn't say anything bout party chats only private and skype. So ur allowed but only if ur playing a game where there is no advantage towards talking to teamates, example. Mw2 u can't talk once dead so u can use it
