This is a tutorial on how to chop samples using reason. This allows you to chop samples in wav. form with no other programs. This is a perfect way to chop if you don't have recycle.

  • you could talk about more what ur doing with the start options.

  • You are basically adjusting the percent. That's just a value of time based of the percent in the song. You basically just adjust it until you get it where you want. It's something that will be different for every sample, just adjust the start percent until it's where you want it.

  • Sorry, i didn't know the mic was clipping that bad, my appoligies

  • to make 1:34 easier just select the ones u want. left click and choose automap zones chromatically

  • i need help, when i try to get the first sample on one note, the sample wont play at all but when i drag the sample across 4 notes it works for example:

it plays when i put the sample from c1 to c3 it works fine. but when i try to make the sample pitch from c1 to c1 i cant hear anything at all.

can someone help a brotha out

  • wow, never knew it could do that lol iono even how to use all them buttons

you ever use the thor i hear lot of good things, but i cant get anything good i like out of it

    great vid!!

  • to give it a more mpc like feel turn the relse up all the way

  • If you open the preferences and go to General...make sure "Mouse Knob Range" is on Very Precise. This way when you hold the shift key it will only move .01 up or down

  • if you hold the shift key down, you can set your start and end points more intracity. It really does its by sample number, which is the most accurate it can get, in fact its so accurate that it kinda makes it even more tedious.

  • nice
