Herman Cains confusion was perfectly understandable. When the interviewer said "Lybia", Cain naturally thought of a woman's body part.

It's what he meant when he said "I have all these thoughts swirling around.."

How disheartening is this. Seriously this man has made a large amount of money and by all visible account he has done all of this by saying shit about black people that his masters on the plantation want to say, but realize it would be in terrible taste if they said it. I just had an Interviewing & Advising exam for my legal training and although I had revised so many times for this oral exercise when it came down to it being in front of the camera and the examiner...I chocked! I now understand your empathy and appreciate your reply.

That's why I feel bad for him...because if I was applying for a job and then I didn't realize how clueless I was and I got stumped, I'd be super embarrassed, probably even cry. I just try to remember he's still a person even if he is a total fucktard.
