This was taken from my Kodak camera this last summer while I was working for Princess on the train. It all is within 2 hours. First you have the North bound Denali Star departs Talkeetna 11:09. Next, is the South Bound Denali Express (DEX) with 80 passengers in each of the 5 cars from denali direct non-stop to whitter arriving Talkeetna 11:32. Next, is the Hurricane Turn boarding passengers at 11:34 from Talkeetna. Wait, there's more!, the McKinley Express (MEX) charter train for Princess arriving Talkeetna 12:41 with all 6 55x series coaches packed like sardines to go to whitter non-stop. I was able to hop on the north bound denali star and then return on the MEX to be dropped off in Anchorage all the same day. It was a great railroading day trip (for free), I encourage all fans to work on the train in the summer, it is a real experience! Once your an employee you get all the free rides you want, and food! In a cruise line environment it ain't bad.

  • Is the whole ARR DTC Control block limits and CTC?

  • yup. besides the palmer turn and some other branches. CTC is pretty much from south anchorage (around MP 100) to Meadows (near MP 169) The rest is DTC blocks. There is however a small CTC section for Hurricane out in the middle of nowhere.

  • look fwd to more from you~~

  • I have 3 more I added so far taken in Talkeetna
