@womat that's not a confusion the one I was talking about, but thanks for clarifying that this was the panasonic sd60 and not other. Still thrill about this interlace performance on this cam on your own computer for example because it gives you that one format on your end, but youtube ONLY(why not everyone?) can reformat a interlace video code to a progressive(different logarithm signal waves)one which is obviously thought to be the best regarding video quality for today's encoding standards.

what a difference between the SD and the HD camera.. so glad I spent the extra on the SD60 HD camera.. worth it. Thanks

Nice video. Thanks for posting it as a video response to my HDC- SD60 video. Nice work. What did you edit it with? -- TMFA

final cut pro and compressor. i'm still searching for the best workflow with avchd, till now i was working with sd and hdv. but the first results are ok and when i optimize the compressor-settings it will become even better.
i like my new little camera!

@womat hey, if the camera highest quality is 1080i?? how come you were able to upload this video at 1080p(full-hd)? Are you truly using the panasonic HDC-SD60 or is it other camcorder you're using? Thanks for the vid it looks awesome. Great quality for whatever cam you're using. I hate to say it but 1080i wouldn't look like this. I like the mountains too.

@voteboo youtube re-encodes the uploaded videos and uses full pictures instead of interlaced. the original quicktime-movie is interlaced, and yes, i used the panasonic sd60 from andorra on, where i bought it. bevore i used the panasonic nv-gs 250.
the different formats cause quite a confusion, for example there is no clear definition, what "full hd" really means.
