By far the best of Part's choral works and I love them all. There is something in the arrangement of this song that truly channels the 'Peace of God' as the title says. It grabs you down deep in the soul and wrings it out of all darkness, hate, spite and malice leaving you with the peace that only God can give. This song carried me through a dark time in my life and will always be my favorite of Part's works. Simply and utterly beautiful!

Listening to this is like looking at the stars far away from screaming electric lights. This music evokes something very fundamental in me, a feeling like I'm a bit closer to the fundament of whole existence in the Universe. This is probably just an imagination, yet it has a very positive influence.

REVERÊNCIAS RELIGIOSAS A ÍCONES DA IGREJA ....
... Interessante edição de imagens para mostrar respeito à Cristandade!

Pärt is a modern composer whose creativity and inventiveness do not seem morbidly turned in on the self nor a reflection of secular man's chaotic, passing world.

you could look at it that Parts music has been influenced by the chaotic world as this, and many of his other works are more of a lament, and even when listening to it I feel sad for a reason that I cannot explain. Prehaps longing for a world of peace that never was and may never be. That is what I feel from it. nevertheless this (along with like all of his music) is just stunning.

I agree with you. It seems to be a protest againt this hectic world, but some say: Part is looking in a world between death and after.death ..not in a religious way.
