  • When in doubt, recall the First Law of Thermodynamics, that is: energy is neither created nor destroyed.

Then, recognize that oil energy is special. Presumably we use it for motion and momentum to move us around in cars, but most of it's energy gets wasted on noise and heat.

Whether it's now or later, the ultmiate peak oil question is not when, but whether or not we made the most of this great energy resource -- if we used it in ways that genuinely help future generations.

  • Go home happy, we got a 24/7 oil factory a few miles under our feet, put there for us, by an intelligent designer to make us goofy and happy.

Where does the energy from the oil comes from, if not from the sun? The core of the earth ? what it is? enzymes in the magma?

IMHO oil migration makes more sense to explain oil fields replenishment or deep deposits .

  • @chemostrat Actually, thats why we call them 'Fossil Fuels.' Its not just the Dinos, its plant life and living matter thats broken down in the earth, crushed and squashed, and then cooked in raising tempretures, and over hundreds of millions of years it turns into fossil fuels! This is why they are finite, because only so many things died out all those years ago, and if something that we produce that is finite, it must have a peak in its production, hence, peak oil.

    Science, is amazing!

  • So after 35 years of the russians super drilling planning, they finally start digging and turn up a couple of fields that can produce 280,000 barrels of oil a day. How is that going to help an Oil industry already in decline that needs to supply well over 80 million barrels a day?

Face it, Oil + Over. Its not easy to accept, but its there for all to see if you look. Please do, and help the rest of us find an alternative!!!

Keep your eyes and ears on the next OPEC meeting. If there is one!

  • "Dow emphasized that the oil's components indicate a lacustrine organic facies with lipid-rich, land-plant debris and fresh-water algal material, refuting theories of abiogenic origin in this area."

  • Abiotic = made by God from God's will alone. It derives from the Latin abiatica, which means "of God's design." No libtard "science" is needed to explain it.

  • @WoodlandRavah thanks you

  • @jjstoney1 oh right...but you know, there is one good thing about all you conspiracy theorists....and that is your always wrong...for example y2k lol...and 2012 and everything else...

  • @MrEnergyCzar conspiracy theorist will say anything...especially if it has to do with doom and gloom...conspiracy theorist also like to use words like "sheep" and "illuminati"...im surprised u havent used them.

  • @chemostrat lol...you would be surprised...just talk to some of the population in america. My guess is 90% believe that oil is a "fossil fuel" They also believe everything else they see on tv so im not really surprised

  • @Dt0x75 God's holy word or any text on intelligent design!

  • "Not decaying dinosaurs or...." Does anyone actually believe that oil comes from decaying dinosaur parts? Talk about a misinformed anchorman...
