The beging of the Acts of the Apostles, sung in Arabic with iconography and scenes of the Holy Land. The music is from a recording of Catholic and Orthodox cantors. Chanted by: Reader Nader Hajjar.

Byzantine Liturgy comes from the traditions of the Saints Chrysostom and Basil (4th Century), used by both the Orthodox and some Eastern Catholic churches.

Epistle: Acts 1-8. For Pentecost weekend.

This work is in response to one of John Paul II's intentions. The communion of Catholic and Orthodox churches.

My hope is the Father; My refuge, the Son; My protection, the Holy Spirit.
Holy Trinity, glory to You.

  • hey Kalamation, do you want to know how many times, within the last year, that I have listened to that Christmas Chant that you posted? I bet I have listened to it more than anyone else and have sent it to dozens of people. It's made me cry almost every time and brought tears to many others.

  • @toddgodmufk2112 Merry Christmas to you and your family.

  • what a nice voice? do you have arabic script for the chant? i would like to read it more in arabic. bless be anyone who helped me with the arabic script of the chant, the priest voice is so nice.

  • @Kubangpasu This just the Epistle passge in Arabic. There are many online Arabic Bibles you can look it up on. God Bless.

  • Oh my God, I'm a Western Catholic yet this gives me goosebumps. We should really be proud of the Eastern Churches. Long live the Catholic Church!

However, may I ask if you use Allah as the word for God? Recently in Malaysia I heard they prohibit Catholics from using the word.

Peace be to all our Eastern brothers and sisters. We love you!

  • Yes. Allah is Arabic for God. Please pray. God Bless you and your family.

  • @JubanTeyman24 Hi, as a Malaysian residing overseas, I do care, because "Allah" is also the word for God in Malay. Of course, no one gives a damn about what Malaysia does but has it ever occured to you that Malaysian Christians are also undergoing persecution; even if its not as big as what is happening in Egypt? Because of all these rules and prohibitions, we are made to look like a pagan religion, which we are not. Keep praying.

  • @leedongwookkr I'm a Melkite Catholic (born Western Catholic) and I'm from Malaysia. I know the people who are fighting to ensure that we get to use the word Allah. Keep praying for them.

  • So well done! Absolutely beautiful. It enlivens the words in such a way that I am brought to tears. Glory to God for his love for us.

  • What an amazing blessing - to be able to listen the voices of brothers and sisters from all over the world praising the same God! Thank you for posting this, may God bless you.

  • @jaye1227 i think it is one-i follow the patriarch of Rome and believe that he is the heir of Saint Peter, but those who followed the patriarchs of antioch, jerusalem, alexandria, and byzantium were indeed closer to the chrstian heartlands than the roman christians ever were- the Church has been 'divided' in this way since the very first christians. the only heretics are the Reformers, the protestants as they call themselves-they should form part of the church again, of the patriarch of rome

  • @leedongwookkr

Who cares what Malaysia does. They are not Arabs. They are Malays. If the Malays do something, it doesn't effect the whole world. Why would you care if they prohibit Catholics from using Allah. The Arab Christians and even Jews from Arab countries say Allah. Regardless what Pat Robertson or Malaysia say.
