what kind of camera do you use here? can you mount a lightweight digital camera on the quadricopter?

That was a very small CCD camera with a wide-angle lens which just weighs around 30g, powered off the flight battery - this little load doesn't impact the flight behavior much. I have flown the X-BL with a regular compact digital camera (150g camera with batteries + 50g for the camera mount/landing gear), but with that much payload it will not fly as comfortably anymore.
