Warne was an unbelievable talent. Doesn't sound like you have ever played cricket, but Gatting's front foot was fine - you shouldn't have to be half way down the pitch to cover your offstump from a ball pitching fairly full and outside leg. Ripping from outside leg onto off from that length is extraordinary.

flight did him...perfection and nearly unplayable. Watch how amazingly far it drifts in and gets him playing to midwicket. Rips off the pitch too.
I dont think many english bats had faced him at that stage..they had heard he had improved out of sight but werent sure what to expect.
Gatting was no mug against spinners.

Warny is a legend. I don't care who he's shagged, they just keep lining up at his door. Worst thing to happen to Aussie cricket was Warne retiring. Could have used him at the last world cup.
..and the only drugs he was ever shown to have taken were diuretics for weight loss coz he was a porky bastard....that and copius amounts of piss
