The fencer is in kendo gear for his protection and vice-versa. Both have 4 years experience in their respective style and have never spared someone from the other style. This is raw unedited footage, don't expect hollywood highlights.
It is intended for fun, there is no historical accuracy intended, you nonetheless get to see one skill set vs. another in real life sparring which is rare.
We are always looking for open minded practitioners of modern or historically accurate swordsmanship contact me if you are in the vicinity of Hamilton Ontario Canada.

At this rate, your claim against Japanese is just a piece of fake you've come up with by yourself.

You've proved that what this George Kennan was saying about Koreans in 1905 still holds true even in this 21st century.

  • @TheTreeless

I expected you to show me your unshakable evidence or source that would prove that the Japanese burned countless documents and treasures in Korea. But instead, what you said is "listen to yourself." OMG! I asked you to prove your claim. Why do I have to listen to myself?

You also said that Wiki cites its sources, but you didn't cite any source even from Wiki to prove your claim, or did you?

  • @iganinja375

Listen to yourself, take a glance into a history book. Over the ages, why did other countries invade other countries? It was for trade, resources, and ultimately for one tyranny for another. Grow a brain, what reason do the Koreans have to lie about what happened? If anything GOOD happened, the whole world would know. You are the one brainwashed by your country, seriously, do some objective research. And btw, Wiki cites its sources, its not some korean cult writing lies.

  • @TheTreeless

You are the top-notch fool to believe Wiki articles written by Koreans. wwwww They are all propaganda and lies. You know that!

    You said this:

    >They burned countless historical documents and treasures.<

What is your basis for this statement? Don't say it's written in Wiki. Why did Japanese have to burn countless Korean documents and treasures? There was no need to do that, or was there?

  • @milonganuova

LOL go read a wiki article you fool. Knowledge is that accessible now, and I live in America, the "supposed" land of the free. So I can whatever the hell I want in Korea, and I invested my OWN research from objective sources and data bases. YOU are the brainwashed fool. That's like saying the Americans were brainwashed during the Revolution.

  • @TheTreeless

What you are saying is exactly what came from the lack of freedom of speech in Korea. You believe you know many facts about the annexation era, but you don’t know that’s the result of brainwashing. Or you're pretending you don't know.

  • @5beckenbauer haidong gumdo, not kendo, they just use kendo armor and swords because haidong gumdo uses real swords and that is not very good fro sparring.

  • I'm not a fencer or any kind, but seems like Kendo has a psychological advantage in this video...

Also, fencing has a blade that flexes a lot - for sporting purposes to prevent injuries from a thrust. But this prevents any parrying techniques. I would think Rapiers could parry a Katana.

Not counting the fact that wars are sometimes won by sheer numbers, or by superior technology, I always wondered, soldier for soldier, which swordsman would dominate in a global fencing contest.

  • @TheTreeless

I agree. When Junichiro Koizumi was Japan's PM, the Koreans openly cut off their pinky in public as protest when Koizumi visit the shrines to pay respect to the dead Japanese war vets. I was rather shocked to see little finger stubs fall off the chopping board shown right on TV.
