  • is this a good game?

  • Jut got the game and started it tonight!

  • now if you look below me you will see a youtube war

  • DRAGONAGE 3 NAO PLEEEEEASE :[

  • @109fry You can use your stats any way you choose to build your character except that only a mage can use magic spells. A mage cannot build dual wield or two-hander/sword and shield skills, for example, but you can get an arcane warrior speciality that lets you use your magic stat to qualify to wear armor, and you can also arm your mage with melee weapons in addition to the staff. You can even put a bow on a warrior if you like!

  • @dfftw The way the game is set up, any race can eventually be a powerful warrior, but human or dwarf starts off with racial advantages, mostly to strength and resistance, so if you want a little head start, choose human or dwarf.

  • @LetsPlayMineSweeper Actually toe got a lot of grief from his viewers because of that choice. He reasoned that practically everyone who played elf would go with archer or mage, because that is the stereotype. So it thought it would be fun to be an elven warrior, and even more unusual, an elven BERSERKER two-handed warrior, and it was fun!

  • @Jonohobs If your only criterion for a good game is the hack and slash combat system with awesome combos and power-ups, this game is likely not for you. The main thing is the story, and the combat is just a way to advance the story. DA2 has a LOT more focus on the combat, and may be more to your liking.

  • @SplinterCell4729 Not sure if you ran into some kind of glitch. On my warrior playthrough when Alistair's approval got high enough I asked if he could train me and he agreed. Then I got the notice "specialization unlocked-templar." Check your skills at the very top, you may have it, or see if you have the needed level (7 or 14) first. Also the Templar Manual is called The Templar Dictionary...A is for archdemon if memory serves.

  • @LetsPlayMineSweeper I agree. The story line is quite long, but very rich in detail, and you will find yourself really caring about your characters as you go. I recall reading one reviewer who said he was 120 hours into the game and still playing, but others say you can complete the main story in 40 or so if you skip a lot of the side questing.
