Stone Cold vs The Rock, Wrestlemania XV Promo

The legendary rivalry between WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon and Stone Cold had spanned more than a year when WrestleMania XV rolled around. McMahon had tried everything not only to keep Stone Cold from becoming champion, but also to physically and emotionally wreck the Rattlesnake to the point where he would no longer be able to compete in a WWE ring. McMahon had chosen The Rock to be his champion, and it was he and Stone Cold who would battle it out at WrestleMania XV.

Mr. McMahon appointed himself special referee for the main event, but Commissioner Shawn Michaels overruled McMahon, saying a traditional WWE official would do the job.

In the end, Stone Cold obliterated The Rock with a Stunner, and walked away from WrestleMania XV as WWE Champion.

Ahh, the old days. When actually being champ was everything. You see? in this promo, Rock, Austin and Vince are doing their thing, but they put over the title as it means EVERYTHING. Nowadays, the title means SHIT. What a promo. Really...what a promo.

Remember the times, when storylines went for more than 4 Weeks? Austin vs. Undertaker for a Spot in the Rumble? I mean after months and months of real build-up i WANTED to see that match so badly. Today the WrestleMania-Storylines start 2-4 Weeks before the event.

This is one of my favorite matches!!I dont know why people just talk about stone cold vs the rock at WM 17 and 19 and they forget about this match which for me was better than the one in WM 19 and just a little bit less great than the one in WM 17
