Haiden Dugas is a 5 year old boy who lost his life tonight due to the neglagence of a women who was talking or texting on her phone, speeding and attempted to leave the scene of the accident! This is a candle vigial for all those who are unable to attend the vigial tonight in Sarnia Ontario! It doesn't matter who you are where you are whether you knew the family or not! I just want to to show support and get the word out all across the world Don't Drive and Talk on Your phone!!!!! Hands Free For Haiden! Put your cell phone away while driving please don't let this happen to someone you love!!!

Thank you so much for your prayers James is a very close friend to my family and did not deserve this. Haiden was much to young to be taken from this earth we will never understand why but I do no one thing the woman that took his sweet life a way from him will get what is coming her way

this video made me cry! i didnt know the little boy or the family, but when i heard about this happening to him i felt soo sick to my stomach, then when i went to go see how he was doing today i read all those comments n cried... this innocent little boys life was taken because she wanted to be selfish n not give two thoughts about what she was doing! i hope she rots for what she did! im sooo sorry for your loss , i cant imagine what it would be like! your all in my thoughts! <3 R.I.P. precious!

the police are not supporting this lady driver, i know for a fact cuz i am haidens father and if anyone else wants to talk shit in anyway about what had happend then mind your own business, she had atleast 30 yards of road to see him and stop but didnt cuz she wasnt paying atention sone how.... signed james dugas

@lilwestcoast6969 you don't have to mention a name if common sense identifies a specific individual - everyone knows the rumors and possibly untruthful comments refer to the driver of a vehicle that hit Haiden. If you weren't in the vehicle with her, or able to see her actions from outside the car, then you're slandering her by declaring as fact that "! something distracted her!" [sic]

The police have not charged this driver, and are asking witnesses to come forward. If a number of unbiased witnesses (who don't know either the driver or the family) come forward and give statements that don't conflict with one another, we can trust that information. It may be that the statements they got on the scene conflicted with one another, which suggests they're not telling the truth. The police have asked people to stop spreading rumors. Do you think they're covering up a child's murder?

@AprilMD69 I didn't accuse you of being rude, I pointed out that rumors are going around, compounding tragedy. You "heard the story to it" but what did you see? How was she "selfish"? A little boy once darted out in front of my car. I couldn't avoid hitting him. It's true that careless drivers cause tragedy, but kids are fast & unpredictable. I wasn't charged & police supported me, just as they are supporting this driver. Unbiased witnesses whose testimony didn't conflict stepped up for me. >tbc
