EMT to the Rescue, 8/18/08

There are 2.8 million stories in the Naked City. This...is one of them.

Listen very closely to the EMT's conversation. One of the banes of calling 911 is that everything doesn't happen in front of an exact street address. If it happens on the long side of a house or along a very long building or vacant lot, all you can do is estimate the street number. That's what happened in this case.

In one particularly ugly example over twenty years ago, a woman died in a fire in One Illinois Center, a well-known downtown Chicago high-rise. She was trapped by the fire, but she called 911 and kept giving the address as One Illinois Center (a vanity address, and the only one she knew), and the call-taker kept asking her for a "good address" (actually 151 E. Wacker Dr.) Long Story Short: the Fire Department arrived too late to save her.

Folks, if you work in a high-rise or on a suburban office campus, FIND OUT THE EXACT ADDRESS NOW. (It may not be One Whoop-di-doo Plaza.) That bit of info could save your life.

And JUST IN CASE you need to call 911: The exact street address of the Empire State Building is 350 Fifth Avenue; Sears Tower's is 233 S. Wacker Dr.

Too many of the wealth and governors don't really care about the poor at all and there are too many dirty cops patrolling the vicuous streets of Chicago. And the sheeps, ignoramuses and cowards in those black street gangs are too ignorant and street-struck to even affirm hip hop, think outside of the box, and too ignorant and street-struck to even take notice of the truth. They are doing exactly what a lot of the wealth and governors want them to do, live a dog's life and kill theirselves.

You really want to catch the gang members and miscreants? Well, flood Englewood with Chicago Police, K9 Units, SWAT teams, fire ALL dirty cops, etc all at once and take them down hard as hell. But the government and wealth don't care about the poor nor their lives/safety. They underrate the them and the gangs. Matter of fact, I just heard gunfire, so recommend this shit. I'm telling you, flood Englewood with police, SWAT, and definitely the K9 unit, the dogs to tear those motherfuckers up!
