  • This was recorded into Apple Logic. However, the results should be the same regardless of which DAW you use, as no processing was used during the recording process. The sound quality will be affected more by the quality of your mic pre and interface than the choice of recording software.

  • This mic should work fine with the Fast track USB 2. That interface has phantom power.

  • The 990/991 package is xlr output and requires phantom power. So either a mixer with phantom power or an interface like an MBox or similar.

    Regards

  • @MXLMICS So xlr to usb adaptors won't work?

  • Some will. Providing it provides phantom power, such as our MicMate classic, and Micmate Pro.

  • Yes, it is an XLR cable. We use Mogami cables for all of the videos.

    Regards

  • I'm looking at this mic right now on Sam Ash. I'm a guy with a somewhat high voice (tenor?) looking for a dedicated vocal mic. Though I sing mostly high I do like to croon every now and then in my lower range. I've been using a Shure SM57 for years and never been happy with its job on vocals. Have to normalize/compress/noise gate it to death. I've also looked at the MXL2006. Any suggestions?

  • @MXLMICS what recording program are you using?

  • this mic or mxl 770????

  • This or the audio technica at 2020?

  • Is this mic. better then the Behringer c-1

  • @MXLMICS I have been debating on whether I should get this microphone or the MXL 3000, what would be your suggestion?

  • what is the best usb interface that u recomend for about 300 400 usd...do they come with cables(the mics)????

  • Will An M-Audio Fast Track USB 2 Audio Interface Support This Mic Being That It Has To Be Phantom Powered?
