(1) The 1980's and early 1990's Mustangs were crap. I never see any of them on the highway. The 1993-1998 Mustangs were better. I see them all the time, as witness my 220,000 miles with no problems.
(2) I simply liked the look of the Mustang and didn't want a Toyota.
(3) No. People aren't necessarilly silly for wanting them and the makers are certainly not silly for selling them.
What I said was regarding my own personal taste. I won't judge others' taste in cars.
@prosperomage Your right a 1998 Mustang is no were near its Muscle car heritage.
2) Ford during those years were horrible in raliability. If you bought a Toyota then I could see your point.
3) So I guess Ferrari, GM, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Saleen, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, McLaren, Dodge etc etc all are silly for making 600+hp cars?? Its to allow customers to feel some of their cars automotive racing/performance history on the street. 4) Why are you trolling my account?! annoying.
@prosperomage Actually theres reasons why manufacturers put spliters, and spoilers on there road cars. Do you think most people with 200mph+ cars drive at normal speeds? If this was true we wouldnt need highway patrol officers. This is a Corvette and if you noticed in the video it is equipped with a turbo. Stock 350hp C5 this thing is probably cranking out 600+. And a V6 Mustang? Never knew "Muscle" cars came with V6s. lol Never made sense to me, if your worried about gas buy a Taurus.
@rapinNtapin -- Yes. And it's relevant at high racing speeds.
It's not really relevant at normal freeway speeds but I can understand wanting to have a car that is fully outfitted for racing. It's the same reason you trick out a car like this in the first place. It's just a cool thing to have.
Now my mustang, on the other hand, isn't even a V8; it's a V6 because I don't want to waste the extra gas. But it has a spoiler anyway. So in my case, it's just a good trunk handle.
I don't think the lambo doors look that bad, I actually think they look pretty good :)

@rapinNtapin --- And ... (4) ... I'm not exactly "trolling [your] account."
In the course of our other discussion, I looked at your profile and saw that one comment about spoilers that I wanted to make a humorous reply to.
If you find that annoying, then cool. I occasionally don't mind being annoying.
But I also don't care much more about this conversation. If you want to stop, then ... ok, fine. :P

@rapinNtapin -- A 1998 mustang is not a classic "muscle" car.
I bought it just to be a good, reliable car and because I like the style.
And after 220,000 miles and only one "tune up" and it still running perfectly, I guess I was right.
Like I said, I can see why people do it, but for my own taste, I think it's silly to "crank out 600 hp" with a street vehicle.
