Day 1 of the amazing McNab Snowboard Back Country Intro course. Lower section of the front face of the Grand Montets off-piste run, Chamonix. Hasn't snowed for over 5 weeks, so this was a warm-up day to get used to the crud. More vids to upload where we find some fresh lines. Still had fun on the hard-pack off-piste, and it makes you appreciate it when/if it ever snows again. I'm going to part-ex the Hummer for a prius ;o) Filmed with a Drift HD on Syko's goggle strap.

  • @faxmachineanthem We had full passes, tho not sure if req'd. It hadn't snowed for about 4 weeks, so it was more of a challenge than a laid-back free-ride. Would love to hit it after some fresh but it wasn't to be. McNab makes any terrain look easy to ride so we all picked up some good tips for the cruddy ice :D

  • Looks pretty damn hard but what a huge open space to play around on! Awesome! I did the top half of the off-piste black run on Grand Montet in jan this year, but went onto a red run half way down, didn't find this bit. I'm guessing you still need the full lift pass to access this area?
