Bonanza Theme (Johnny Cash Cover)

Bonanza as a TV series was somewhat pioneering. They eventually recorded choral pieces and 34-piece orchestras in an effort to get a cinematic feel for it. This song by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans was the main theme for a long time. The lyrics were dropped after a while, because the camp factor was a little high.

In my opnion, there is nothing wrong with having cheesy lyrics to go with a cheesy melody. If I can't have my salami, a quattro formaggio will do just fine.

Then I heard the Johnny Cash recording. I could smell the pepperoni.
