Haven vs High Astromancer Solarian (World of Warcraft)

Haven's first kill of Solarian. After several weeks of pounding our heads against the brick wall known as Vashj, we thought we'd give Solarian a shot since word had it she was made easy post patch 2.2 and we could use the change of scenery. Sure enough, we downed her within a night of earnest attempts.

Notes:

-Due to the patch, I really didn't have any addons installed, save for an out of date Deadly Boss Mods. Didn't affect me too much since I'm pretty minimal with the mods anyways.

-The encounter's a mix between Aran, Morogrim, and Geddon. Name of the game is PAY ATTENTION. If you've got the debuff, run away from people before you asplode.

-IMO healers have the hardest role in this fight since it's a frantic game of whack-a-mole. It's bad enough that we're going crazygonuts trying to keep folks topped off for the arcane missiles and AoE, but it can really suck if one of us gets the debuff. Due to our already thinned out attention, a healer is more likely to blow up the raid......which I suppose is counter-productive, heh. Ventrilo helps!

-Generally we keep everyone tightly grouped together since there's really no AoE/cleaves or anything. It helps give those with the debuff an easier escape from the raid.

-Pallies generally scoop up the adds with consecrate while the entire raid stands on top of them. When enough aggro is established, the mobs are AoE'd.

-Get her down to 20% and she turns into a giant voidwalker. Simple tank n' spank from there. Get her to this phase and you've pretty much won the fight.
