S197 Mod are, 4.10s, LCAs, UDPs, CAI, Dyno Tune, Mac Mufflers. The 96 Cobra has Nitto Drag Radials, ORX, Magnapacks, CAI, all else stock including gearing. I was running a 13.0 at 108 in the S197 to my Cousin's 13.5 at 104. He needs some 4.10s and a tune, then I think he would be right there with me.
Just to chime. Nice race! Good to see not a bunch of people talkin smack. I just got another 98 cobra with 430 gears, stage 2 cams and a tune. I can't wait for the track to open in march but I KILLED an srt 8 challenger and an 08 gt supercharged on 5psi so I'm thinkin mid 12's

@xtreme3484 It was my Balt, but I recently traded it for a TBSS. The Balt doesn't make as much peak power, but it has one sick power curve. It made peak torque at 2500 RPM and carried it straight across to almost 7k rpm. It ran 13.4 at 106 on a 2.1 60'. The right tune is key on the Cobalts.

@Mach1Spd Thats sick cause he has so little mods. Yea once he gets 410s that cars gonna be sick nasty lol, i have respect for all mustangs, is that balt yours? thats weird hes losing i had a 260hp 5.0 and guy had a stage two balt i was racing and was killing it bad...check the vids out

@xtreme3484 I'll def check out your vids, man. He's at 280 RWHP now that he's tuned. He runs 13.4 at 103 now. He still can't hang up top for some reason. In his defense, his trans is on its way out and is very hard to get through the gears. I have a vid of my Cobalt and his Cobra from a roll. It's ugly. I agree my cousin needs to get gears. He's unemployed now, but hopefully things will pick up soon and he can slap some 4.10s in. I think he will see low 13s or high 12s with some 4.10s or 4.30

@Mach1Spd His gets the job done its a mid 13 second car. But unless he wants more he has to really get into the engine it makes good low range i had a 89 5.0 that was pretty fun as well love those cars alot. Ill check out your vids, The guy with the cobra really needs to get gears though then race you again lol it would be a good race being that hes lighter do you have any idea what hes putting down to the wheels?

@xtreme3484 You're exactly right about the 2 valve Vs Mach thing. My experience has been the same with the full bolt on/geared GTs up to about 80 mph. Those 2V heads just don't pull up top like the 4V. I've got some vids of my Mach and you can really see how it pulls up top against my S197 as well.

@Mach1Spd Yea machs are amazing 4vs one of the best next to the 03-04 cobras, my brother has a 03 mach with just a catback and diablo tune, and my other brother has a full bolt on geared 00 gt and the gt just doesnt comepare after about 80mph.... 4 valves are amazin

@xtreme3484 This S197 made 308 rwhp with the listed mods, and 318 rwtq. My Mach put down 307 rwtq, but made more tq at 332 rwtq. All the Mach had was an ORX, cat-back, drop in filter, 4.10s, and of course a tune, so it made equal HP and more TQ with less mods. Could've been the X-pipe, idk. It ran 12.9 at 108. By far my favorite car so far.

@Mach1Spd well, idk it honestly should make more power at the wheels most full bolt on b head 4vs will make about 320 at the wheels and hes like 2-300 hundred pound lighter as well so idk but a geared minor bolt on cobra will easily hit 12s or sell the car. i have a 98.... gt i just dropped a 97 cobra motor into its amazing now

@xtreme3484 I've been telling him for awhile now to get some gears in that Cobra. I think he could touch high 12s with 4.10s and his Nitto Drag radials. I kind of doubt he would trap as high as me though.
