i lived in owings mills and when i went there there were always tons of white people so its kinda unfair to blame black people when whites were the main ones up there..just sayin

@gargbaby2 No, really. This is fucking America. We all know all too well what race means in this country. As soon as a certain "threshhold" number of blacks begin to appear in an area on a freequent basis, all the white people go away. Look at Security Mall: it's all black now. The real problem is that when high numbers of blacks show up and the whites all leave, the quality and safety of the shopping experience deteriorates. This goes for neighborhoods too. All black means all bad. Truth hurts.

@ravens112 Yeah, I'm black and I agree with you. The real problem is the types of blacks: low education underclass scum from Baltimore's ghettos. If it were not for the Metro subway coming there in the year 1990, this mall would have remained very upscale and classy. Unfortunately, the metro subway allowed poor ghetto blacks to come up from some of Baltimore's absolute worst ghettos because that damn metro runs from west to east Baltimore where there are virtual war zone cesspools of blacks.

I'm a black man. I use the racist language against my own people because I am so sick of members of my race who do nothing but undermine and destroy all that many blacks half a century ago achieved during the Civil Rights Era. Many of them lost their lives for this cause. Too many of today's Black youth seem determined to get acceptance from their peers and achieve machismo status by acting like stupid baffoons: loud, ignorant, irresponsible, violent and just plain criminal.

Gangs are a plague on American communities. I noticed that the true final turning point for Owings MIlls Mall's final deterioration were all the large groups of young black innercity ghetto thug gang members who would start riding up on the subway around ten years ago. Trust me: they organized themselves to start coming up here on the Metro. It became a very organized behavior pattern every single day. Once these ghetto fuckers discover your area--they'll keep coming. Fuck 'em!

I appreciate your comments. Yeah, Florida is full of low class scum like much of America that just destroys communities. Make no doubt, I did not grow up rich, but I always worked hard in school and in my profession to become something other than lazy welfare trash that won't work even if given a decent job.

@youchris67 It's fortunate that there are still many blacks like yourself who are well-spoken and educated. However, let's not act like it's only black youth doing this. Not sure how it's like in baltimore, but down here in Miami, you'll find ill-educated scum all across the racial spectrum. The problem is that ghettos like the one that destroyed this mall are isolated, and run by the criminals instead of the law. With the failing public education system, I expect more ghettos to pop up.

@StMeade thank you for pointing that out! they say that ghetto blacks chased the customers away, but i dont think thats it, i mean some of the ghetto people WERE paying customers. people buy online because they dont want to have to leave home, or because they just dont wanna pay sales tax. although i never really understood the whole thing about the sales tax... i mean what would you rather do, pay $1.46 sales tax in store or $4.00 - $8.00 shipping cost online???
