Well nahh he didn't switch his style way before signing to Shady, compare Trunk Muzik to Radioactive...both totally different styles.
He still kicks ass on Radioactive but I think the producers (Eminem) didn't give backing music equally as amazing as Yela's lyrics...glad to see him getting recognition though and well deserved money so can't complain.
