Really a shame he had to slam Satch like that. Whatever your musical preference, Satriani is a bad counter example as he is that rare player who combines, in equal measure, flawless technique, massive chops, and real genuine soulful approach to his playing (think Jeff Beck). Too bad Mr. Wilson can't hear that, or doesn't have the time to investigate his claim further. Wilson is a smart, thoughtful cat, but he comes off here sounding more ignorant that anything.

He's right, although he is a natural player.
I think Steve's far too modest about his playing. I think he's a superb guitarist. He might not be the most technical of players, but there is so much emotion in every note he gets out of the instrument.
