  • if good men stop doing the right thing bad men will keep on doing what they want - soldiers with freedom in their heart sand peace in their minds should be saluted so there - I SALUTE YOU.

  • fearthetenbrae has an excellent question. I retired 25 years ago and find this video really dreges up some very painful and haunting memories. It also hurts when I think of all the youngsters, no older than my grandsons, who are serving and have been wounded and killed. It breaks my heart to think of how it affects their loved ones. Damned good song and video.

  • I agree with Xazqrten this song reminds me of the sights of hell i went through with my brothers and watched many of them fall including my oldest brother in Iraq and i would never wish that hell on anyone but i know our youth today are proud to serve and to give the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom R.I.P

  • hey lets have that last shot fired and bring our troops home

  • 3:40 Flags Of Our Fathers :)

  • The end..is the best part of the whole song.

  • This is a really good song. The choir at the end is awesome. If I were to guess why, I would say with the exception of Normandy beach, it is sung from the point of view of someone who has died and has not been able to go to their eternal rest, because of a lack of peace that comes from being concerned whether or not they died in vain...The South in the Civil War, Vietnam, and the present conflict probably have more in common with each other than with the American Revolution.

  • I'm just wondering why this starts with the Civil War and not the Revolution.

  • i absolutely love this song. i am one of those who are saluting the soldiers as well, tinmiss :)
