Canadian Orange Order: Hamilton Ontario Orange Order Centenary Parade - June 6 2009

On June 6 2009 the city of Hamilton, Ontario played host to the first parade in the city by the Orange Order in decades. The occasion was the centenary anniversary of LOL 2123, the last surviving Hamilton Orange Lodge. The event was marked by the attendance of the Govan Protestant Boys Flute Band leading the parade, the laying of a wreath at the Dunkirk monument by veteran paratrooper who was present on the D-Day landings, and also the commemoration of a new banner for LOL 2123.

@ScottishCaledonian I'm of Ulster Scots heritage.I'm the DM of a NY lodge.The LOL has been in the US since the 1800's.Orangeism is a worldwide organization.One doesn't need be British to join.There are big lodges in Ghana,Africa and even in Dublin.I happen to be well known in Toronto my friend.And I'm an Apprentice boy with the Toronto Murray club.
