I have enjoyed all of your 77 Cherokee videos. Not only for what you talk about, but also seeing the underside and stripped interior in detail. I am continuing to view the videos and hope you were successful.

Awsome! I've been thinking about building my own swing out rack and you've given me a lot of good info. Thank you!

@Quikdrawmagraw Lmk if you need any help along the way, man. The most important thing I did was to TOTALLY plan it out in advance and even trace out a mock up on a large piece of cardboard before I started cutting steel. Good luck!

The welding isnt the hard part, the hard part was the planning and preparation of the pieces. Given that with the inflated 35" tire, high lift jack and full gas cans on it, the entire assembly weighs maybe 300 pounds, so you NEED to make sure you get really excellent penetration on your welds.
If you dont normally weld, practice your beads and heat settings a LOT, because if this thing breaks off on the highway you can very well kill somebody.
Good luck!
