@IIHamishII Agreed! I had an ESP with a Floyd Rose on it and I couldn't stand it.

@mivec25 Always been one of my favorites, too.

Bad Ass 6 string

You do know that BIlly Gibbons uses 7's right?
His tone is massive and those strings are a full 2 gauges smaller than Reb's.
Players with a light touch should be using lighter srings. I guy with a heavy touch that really digs in can get a big string going...a softer hitter will get a wearker tone out of a larger string.
Physics....it has real world applications

I like his setup, but his string choice is way too skinny . If your after a thin, wimpy sound then use thin wimpy strings. If you want a heavy and huge sound use heavy gauge strings. I like to buy packs of strings for 7 string guitars and simply throw the smallest skinny string in the trash can. What you end up with is a 6 string set gauged about the same as what Stevie Ray Vaughn used to use.

@IIHamishII Agreed. I have a '93 Ibanez RG470 with the Original Edge tremolo and I have never played a better locking tremolo system in my life.

My vote: +1 Ibanez Edge. [Original Edge]
Back to an extent in 2010, the new Ibanez systems are fantastic, but also aimed at avoiding Floyd licence costs.
The Edge came out in '86, as a massive improvement over the OFR.
