The iRobot Create searching for an object, going towards it, and then attempting to capture it using the mechanical arm. It didn't work too well at the end, which means I'll probably have to modify the arm and code slightly.

I've attached two external servos to the Create in this video. One is in the front, with an IR distance sensor and phototransistor mounted on top of it. This one is used as a rotating eye that sweeps left and right, looking for objects.
The other standard servo controls the upward and downward motions of the arm to grasp the object.
