I know for convenience you used those who only had a number, but I'm not sure whether you said or not, but those who decided to customize their own url should be included. Your sample otherwise would not be 100% representative because you only chose the people who were either too lazy to change it or just didn't know. But alas it can't be perfect considering you would also have to think about the people who don't have one, so it's to be said you are just representing the mixi population.

@RaymondCorrigan No problem! and yes, what you say is correct, there still are people who want to spread discrimination by blood in Japan. That can be taken as just a joke by mature people, but the publisher's intention is actually in a different place.

I can't believe I followed all that. School wasn't useless after all!

Thanks for the idea,
A group of young males would have about 500 members. Based on `response rates` I should have about 250 `participants`, which isn`t bad.
Actually, I could just do the same analysis controlling for the variables age and sex. That way the computer will compare blood types between people after accounting for differences.
I`m using a pretty weak open source statistics program now (PSPP). Next time I have access to something more powerful, like SPSS, I`ll give that a shot.
Classification by blood type leads a discrimination. Hitler determine his blood type as A and he labeled Jewish blood type B which is inferior to A. So, this is a discrimination where the blood type B or AB is a minority.

Thankyou, I appreciate the Japanese support.
It always sounds extreme when you link something to Hitler. But in this case you're right. Blood type discrimination started as a way to support racism in Nazi Germany. The Japanese army used it in the same way, and bura-hara is still a very real thing in Japan.
