Sydney confesses his love to Lucie

Excerpt from the film: A Tale of Two Cities (1958). Sydney Carton (Dirk Bogard), an English barrister whose love of wines is notorious, is enamoured of Lucie Manette (Dorothy Tutin), whose preference however goes to a French aristocrat in exile, Charles Darnay (Paul Guers). One night, he finds the courage to open his heart to Lucie, though not knowing that Charles has asked her father, Dr. Manette (Stephen Murray), for Lucie's hand in marriage.

Just saw this on TCM Turner Classic Movies channel in Kanada.

It was NOT the remastered version. While watching i thought it was the 1935 version because the picture was slightly out of focus, the film jittered and no contrast. Turns out i was wrong it was the 1958 as seen above. I usually dont mind UnRemasters for nostalgias sake, but this was truly a CRAP copy. LOL!!!
