True final battle with Chaos and the game's best ending.

Well, now that I've finished it, I can say that it's quite a good game. I'd definitely say it's as good as Symphony of the Night, or even better (the two are quite similar, actually).

Pros:

-Soul system allows lots of customization.

-Excellent soundtrack.

-Neat story, something different than the usual 'my girlfriend has been kidnapped by Dracula and now I'm going to his castle to rescue her' thing.

-Great replay value thanks to the randomness of soul collecting and other extra goodies that can be unlocked.

-Just really fun!

Cons:

-Too easy. Not as easy as Symphony of the Night, but it's definitely not that difficult, either, since it also has the overpowered equipment problem (most of the best equipment, while sometimes well concealed, aren't very difficult to obtain at all). But at least there's a Hard mode.

-Very short compared to the other Metrovanias I've played (unless you want to collect every soul, I hear). Thankfully there aren't any repeats of other areas of the game to artificially extend the playtime (hello, Portrait of Ruin).

-On the other hand, soul collecting can be very tedious and repetitive. Castlevanias have never had the best system of item drops, and I really feel for those people that want to collect everything. But there aren't too many souls that are required to get through the game.

  • the best ending!!!!! XD

  • What. The. Hell. Is that thing. No, seriously, were they high when they were designing this boss?

  • @TheTragicPrinceAlvin and 2, the ragers, trolls, and even CAMPERS, are overly abundant in the series, plus it opened up the path for a new cheap shot to the face noob, black ops brought second chancers. for those who don't play cod or haven't encountered a second chancer yet, second chance is a perk that when you die, you fall to the ground, lay on your back, take out your pistol and continue shooting, basically making a win button for a fight you rightfully LOST!

  • @TheTragicPrinceAlvin nah, it isn't a transition from 2D to 3D that made it's reputation. 1 about every troll on the internet thinks their so "fucking awesome" and that "every other game that isn't an fps and has the letters c o and d somewhere in the name HAS to suck" not my views, but i've seen everywhere on youtube people lp casual or 2D games, and the first 30 trolls to arrive bring up COD. it's the community, not the game! i like cod, but come on, it's not that great!

  • just wondering, does the chaos realm music and the music for some of the trilby games (chzo mythos games) sound similar?

  • @darksamusfreak89 Nope, its the Chaos! xD

  • I thought Graham was the final boss?

  • Do you know guys arikado is alucard.... why did i know arikado is alucard? cuz when u play the aria of sorrow when u first met yoko belnados in study she said "Aluca.....Arikado sent me here to help you" lol that why i know arikado is alucard!

  • @starrodkirby1 I have new friends. They play Metal Gear Solid and Team Fortress. Big improvement I think.
