Tap water is shit

Right on, Jackson. Couldn't agree more. But one point is that jacket you're wearing. If it's leather, there are huge environmental humane issues that come from harvesting that leather. If it's pleather, it's more animal friendly, but still requires lots of chemicals. Just helping a brother out!

I guess you could say when Jackson Browne needs to refill his metal water bottle, he's...
*puts on shades*
Running on Empty.
YEEEAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!

you sir, are a god.

Have stopped drinking bottled water since becoming aware of how mindlessly polluting this practice is. That happened mainly because of a link on JB's website. These days, i'm buying plastic-packaged stuff only when no alternative is offered. When confronted with a plastic-only packaging situation, ask yourself if you really need to buy the stuff anyway. Let us get to that critical mass that will ignite a global chain reaction against plastic by setting an example in our everyday lives.

@martymfla So funny is.. The "bottled" water comes from the same place we drink it... Out of faucets... They are just making money from the poor SAPS who buy it. But... Its a TRENDY Thing I guess..... I myself, drink tap water!

... "starving for an authentic life" JB says the most powerful things with a few concise words. Since the 70's I've always loved his mind and the way he expresses his ideas.

Soon as I saw the title I knew the direction this would take; that he'd be up on his soapbox making a statement. JB never lets fame go to his head... or go to waste.
One of my top 10 all-time songmakers... There've been a few times I've wished that, in song, he'd leave his soapbox behind. But it comes with the man. All to the good.
..love be true... how long, how strong. ...Anyway...

I love Jackson Browne, he makes wonderful music, and uses what little attention and fame he has to raise awareness for good causes- everything from human rights to helping people to protecting the environment
If people simply wouldn't BUY them, then Companies wouldn't SELL them. People in California can't go from the car to front door of their house without carrying a water bottle. They started this trend of waste. Bottled water is not better than tap water, but try and explain that to a Yuppie or Gen X person.

A great message Jackson and agree with 100%. I've been doing this for three yrs now. I use my tap water after it goes through my Brita water filter because our water is filled with so many things that are bad for us, also. Glad to know that Brita is re-cycling their water filter catridges, too. Thanks Jackson for helping get the message out there and thanks for the post.
