  • From the Oconee to the Altamaha river which flows eastward towards the Atlantic Ocean for over 130 miles from its origin of the Oconee and Ocmulgee Rivers.

    There are no dams on the Altamaha which make it great for canoeing and kayaking.

    There is also a very low population density with few significant towns or cities along its course.

  • I grew up in Dublin and I remember the river well. Did you happen to put in at Blackshear's Ferry? It looks like it.
