Tutorial by Errol: How to do a 540, RAIZ and CORKSCREW WITH KICKOUT - from Keeper of the Realms author Marcus Alexander.
*540 kick - also known as inside turning kick, jump inside kick and tornado kick. It involves a rotation of approximately 540 degrees, the most prominent defining feature is that the same leg is used for taking off, kicking, and landing. The other leg mainly helps get the performer into the air, and then the leg is pulled back before the landing.
*RAIZ - In a Raiz, you swing way up and turn over. You kick one leg up while arching over and back, and then dig that same leg you swung up back into the ground. It's almost like a fast powerful wheel kick, only you jump with it.
*CORKSCREW WITH KICKOUT - A Corkscrew is a martial arts or dance move that is believed to have originated from Wushu and Capoeira. The move consists of swinging one leg up while jumping off the ground with the other leg. The leg is swung up high in order to raise the center of gravity and to give more height to the jump. After the initial jump, the tricker will then straighten out their body horizontally and begin to twist their body as they would for a butterfly twist. Like a butterfly twist, the take off and landing is done with the same leg, however a corkscrew generally requires more rotation.
what's that thing tied to your leg?
