  • Great interpretation!! In my next life I will speak Portuguese and play guitar like a Brazilian. No luck this life, unfortunately.

  • Eu costumo dizer que música é para sentir, e precisa nos elevar a alma, pois esta música é deste tipo que nos eleva o espirito, por sua sutileza e a interpretação ficou linda.

    Continuing

I envy the opportunity you had to to Spend an evening at Edu Lobo’s home. The most I got was a flight with him, but I was embarrassed to talk to him (laughs).

Here on youtube there is a masterpiece of Edu Lobo and Chico Buarque called "Choro Bandido" performed by three. Type "Choro Bandido Tom Edu Chico."

Unfortunately the Chico Buarque‘s lyrics (absolutely brilliant!) you will not catch all.

But if you learn Portuguese you will.

Sorry my poor english. Stay with God.

    Dear GLFitz

The fact that you like Brazilian music, especially that of Jobim and Edu Lobo, shows that you have intelligence and sensibility above average.

I'm not being nationalistic. There are many Brazilians who hate Brazilian music, even music of Jobim, etc..

I think they are true geniuses of music. And what always struck me about Jobim was his great humility.

  • @iurikorolev I'm from the USA. Fell in love with Brazilian music in the mid-sixties. While my friends listened to the Beatles, I was an avid fan of Bonfa, Gilberto, Edu Lobo, and of course, Jobim. In LA in 1970 I was fortunate to spend an evening at the home of Edu Lobo and his wife at the time, Wanda da Sah. Passarim is one of my three favorite Jobim tunes, the others being Wave and A Felicdade. I tried learning Portuguese in college but with little luck. Thanks for asking.

    Which country are you from?

It's never too late to learn a language.

You would have access to the most beautiful music in the world and be delighted, with the poetry of a genius as Chico Buarque de Hollanda and other more.

    It is worth !

  • A melodia,bucólica,linda...traz-nos a sensação do que se pode chamar de puro.Excelente interpretação,vozes e instrumental !
